It's that time of the year again! So get the map on the end of your wrist out of your pocket, point to the very tip of your thumb, and get Up north with us, Detroit! We have chosen the weekend, all you have to do is pick up the phone, book it and join in the Detroit debauchery, just a few hours North.
Detroit Up North: Port Austin is a jam packed September 14-16th weekend of fun activities featuring Detroit artists, musicians, vendors, chefs, and more! You are responsible for booking your own weekend, and admission is ONE CASE OF WATER for Flint! See below for full itinerary. Some events do cost money and can be found at designated hyperlinks.
THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
Step 1: Mark your calendar (September 14-16)
Step 2: Hit up your friends
Step 3: Find a spot to stay! You can find special hotel deals @ www.detroitupnorth.com/lodging -- there is also camping available at Port Crescent State Park. There will shuttle transportation available throughout the weekend to and from the campground.
Step 4: Figure out how you're getting there! There will be limited space available on a The Detroit Bus Company vehicle round trip - the bus will leave Friday, September 14th from Corktown in the early afternoon so we recommend taking a half day.
Otherwise it's a little bit over 2 hour drive, carpooling is recommended and can be arranged on the event page.
